Bought a 2kg bag of Apple chips to smoke a variety of meats. Upon opening the bag, the aroma of apple was near overwhelming. This ain’t no hardware store wood chip of dodgy or questionable origin, this is the real deal. Added a strong yet sweet smoke flavour to belly bacon, and a delicious deep sweetness to chunks of both goat and lamb. Cracker product.
I have bought most of my smoking chips from here and find them awesome to use. i generally smoke with a mix of chips e.g. Apple and Cherry, Apple and Maple etc etc. I generally soak them in Bourbon or wine which adds that extra depth to the flavour you achieve. I smoke bacon beef and fish
I purchased some Hickory chips to add some flavour to my roast and damn it was a good roast. After soaking in water for around a half hour they had enough moisture to smolder rather than burn, this allows for more smoke and less flames. A+ product.
