With a taste very similar to Anise, the two are often confused. Pale yellow to green in colour, this flavourful spice is found mostly in Asian cuisine, as well as Middle Eastern cuisine. Perfect for curries, sauces – particularly satay sauce and soup stocks, it is a key component in Italian Sausages. Flavour is enhanced when combined with cinnamon and cumin and is an essential ingredient to add to your own pickling mix.
