How to Make Baked Pears with Cinnamon Crumble & Smoked Honey
These baked pears are super quick and easy to make and are a great warming winter dessert. The cinnamon crumble is so delicious and goes perfectly with the pears. We’ve drizzled some of our Misty Gully Hickory Honey on top for a smokey twist.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe pears
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 tbsp. castor sugar
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon (halved)
- Pinch Misty Gully Kosher Salt
- Misty Gully Hickory Honey
Method
- Preheat oven to 200℃ (400℉) and prepare an oven safe tray.
- Combine the castor sugar and 1 tsp of ground cinnamon to make cinnamon sugar.
- Halve pears and scoop out some of the centre. Brush the insides with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar.
- In a medium bowl, combine oats, pecans, brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Pour remaining melted butter into bowl and combine until fully coated.
- Spoon into pear halves.
- Bake until pears are soft, 35 to 40 minutes.
- Drizzle some Misty Gully Hickory Honey over each pear half and top with vanilla ice cream.
- Serve warm.
